Moonlit Abyss – Water Element
Moonlit Abyss is a Japanese decorative katana inspired by introspection and emotional depth within the Water element.
It symbolizes the courage to face one’s inner layers and the clarity that emerges in quiet moments. In the philosophy of Water, reflection reveals what turbulence conceals. Beneath the moonlight, even the deepest waters become visible. Moonlit Abyss embodies that calm confrontation with the self.
The fittings are crafted from zinc alloy, offering balanced durability with a restrained aesthetic. Synthetic ray skin complements the handle structure, maintaining a cohesive and refined appearance. The saya is made from green skin wood and hand-lacquered, enhanced with a carefully applied decorative motif that adds subtle visual character.
The blade is hand-forged from high-manganese steel and treated with high-temperature quenching to ensure structural consistency. A 15-step hand polishing process refines the surface, followed by high-temperature bluing that gives the blade a deep, midnight-toned finish. Layered surface detailing enhances the visual depth, echoing the theme of hidden waters under moonlight.
Moonlit Abyss is intended exclusively for decorative display and collection, uniting symbolic introspection with disciplined craftsmanship.
