Deep Current – Water Element
Deep Current is a Japanese decorative katana inspired by emotional depth and quiet continuity within the Water element.
It reflects unseen movement beneath the surface — steady, composed, and persistent. In the philosophy of Water, the most powerful forces are often invisible. What appears calm above may carry immense strength below. Deep Current embodies that silent endurance.
The fittings are crafted from zinc alloy, offering durability with a balanced traditional aesthetic. Synthetic ray skin complements the handle construction while maintaining a refined appearance. The saya is made from high-mountain hardwood and finished with hand-applied lacquer, providing a smooth, layered surface with natural depth.
The blade is hand-forged from high-manganese steel and treated with high-temperature quenching to enhance structural consistency. Forged in a traditional shinogi-zukuri style, the blade maintains defined lines and a clean geometric profile. A 15-step hand polishing process refines the surface, enhancing clarity and visual sharpness.
The blade demonstrates resilient structural characteristics consistent with its forging method.
Deep Current is intended exclusively for decorative display and collection, merging symbolic depth with disciplined craftsmanship.
